Just wrapped up the postgame interview with Brad Brownell after the loss at Wake Forest.

A few of the more important topics:

-- Chase Hunter hurt a ligament in his foot against Duke. It wasn't sore immediately after the game because of all the energy and adrenaline, but it was extremely sore Sunday and continuing through the week.

Hunter has a history of foot problems, dating to before he arrived at Clemson. He has really flat feet and that's been the cause of it.

Brownell said there's a chance Hunter plays Saturday against Virginia Tech, but he won't know more until the next few days of practice.

-- Biggest disappointment for Brownell was the first half. This is a really good Wake Forest team offensively, and he gave full credit to that. But he said his guys were just a step slow in the first half, probably some heavy legs.

"They just outplayed us today," he said. "I didn't think we played very hard defensively. We didn't do what we came here to do. We looked a little bit tired at times."

-- Heck of a night for Chauncey Wiggins, who played a whopping 30 minutes because of all the foul trouble with other guys. Wiggins had 10 points, four rebounds and three assists. He hit three 3-pointers, including the four-point play in the second half.

Including his big shot late at Pitt, the moments haven't been too big for this freshman. That'll surely pay dividends moving forward.

-- I thought PJ Hall looked gassed in the second half. He expended so much energy before halftime, putting the team on his shoulders and making some big-time plays. But thereafter he was rather sloppy, and that's probably understandable given how he's still trying to get back to being his full self. He still finished with 22 points and nine rebounds, and that's pretty dang good given the circumstances.

-- This is a night you miss not just Chase Hunter as a calming and organizing influence on the offensive end, but Alex Hemenway's long-range shooting. Brevin Galloway was off tonight, and Hemenway's marksmanship was surely missed.
