good article if you are a thinking conservative

Well, I agree with the 1st thing he said. The candidates are stupid to allow the question "with 20/20 hindsight". Other than that... what a load of crap. Sure, the US can put 120,000 troops in a small country (surge numbers) and keep the peace. But what happens when they pull out (after years of training and billions in cash to stabilize Iraq and build their armed forces)? These troops sitting in defensive positions with superior weapons and equipment and outnumbering the attackers 3:1 simply cut and run.

When is enough enough? Afganastan is the same way... when the last of the US troops are gone, that country will go (the rest of the way) to the dogs too. We are wasting our money, blood, and time over there. There are no good solutions... Sure we can put troops on the ground and whip ISIS in a couple of weeks. Then what? Who's going to make the mid east stable? Who's going to govern the territory we liberate? There are NO good guys here. NO ONE likes us. Sure the people we are giving weapons to make nice noises, but only as long as they need us.

We created ISIS by firing all of Iraq's military, just like we created Al Queda in Iraq by invading in the first place. We need to STOP doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result. Let the Arabs fight ISIS.
