Taking my 13 year old on a father/son trip to the Indy 500 in about a month. It's a bucket list thing for me and the kid loves anything motorsports. I've already reserved hotels. Already got tickets on the 4th row of Paddock Penthouse across from the pagoda and start/finish line. Already got tickets for the Parade on Saturday. Already got tickets for Carb Day on Friday and plan to go to the museum at the track that day. I've got parking and post-race garage passes.
What am I missing that is something you wouldn't normally think about as a first-timer? Any restaurants that I need to reserve? Is traffic nuts and should we be aiming for something dumb like a 7am arrival at the track or something equally as absurd?
