As all of you know, I'm not a Trump fan and think he's pretty much a scum bag (a rich one for sure).

I think Nancy Pelosi would agree that $130k is "crumbs" to Trump. Oh wait, the LAWYER personally paid out of his own pocket, not Trump. $130k may be "crumbs" to him as well if he's Trump's lawyer.

Nope, moderate here. Just think that Trump is a scum bag, right up there with Bill Clinton... just wears a better suit. I get the crumbs reference just fine. The REALLY funny thing is that we just passed a tax cut that gives 80% of it's benefits to the wealthy and all the Trump supporters are so happy while Trump and the ultra wealthy piss down their backs on the way to the bank.
Look, I got NO PROBLEM AT ALL with a middle class tax cut. I do have a BIG problem with giving people who already have a record portion of this country's wealth even more wealth.
The middle class is getting a sizeable tax cut. I really think you will be surprised, if you’re middle class, when you do your taxes. Between getting more $ in your paycheck, doubling the child tax credit, and doubling the standard deduction, you’ll be happy. I don’t want to get into asking how much you make because I feel there are different terms of what middle class means to people. If you’d like to open that door though, I’d love discussing that

Again, I got NO PROBLEM with the middle class tax cut. I'd guess my wife and I are solidly middle class. We make around $175K between us. That goes a pretty long way in Idaho. It's tough to come up with a round number that means anything before you actually see the tax returns but I'd GUESS that we are $5K or so better off with this tax plan. Again, my problem isn't with the middle class tax cut (although personally I'd be all for using it to cut the deficit).
I'm not arguing with you on the middle class part of it. I'm arguing about the wealthy part of it. YES, the middle class tax cut is sizable. AND the wealthy part is 4 times as much. That's my problem... that didn't need to be done.
That’s a lot more than most middle class families make. Kudos to you and the wife. Take that $5k and go on a vacation! While I understand where you’re coming from on the tax cut for the richer folks, let’s not forget that many of them give back to the communities and also pay more in taxes than the rest of us. Sure, some of them are snobs. I’ll grant you that. I’m of the belief that if you’re gonna give a tax cut, you do it for all. A tax cut to the poor or middle class only really isn’t fair to those who have become more successful in life than others. That may sound like a dick statement but it’s the truth (along with some trust fund kids, sure).

The fact that his lawyer admitted to paying off a porn star to keep her quiet about it is disgraceful, no matter where the money came from.
Regarding your follow up posts about tax cuts, I definitely think some type of tax cut was needed, but I think what was done was too heavily slanted towards the top 1%. I also think that the Republicans have become just as bad as the Democrates when it comes to pretending the deficit doesnt exist.
