Daniel Okoye | TX
Monster. Best DE on the class imo. Explosive, sure tackler, great with his hands. And he’s got plenty of length and plays tall. Elite prospect. We should be wearing his high school entrance mat raw.
Eddrick Houston | GA
1B to Okoye’s 1A imo. Obviously he’s incredible as his offer sheet will tell you. I have doubts we can pull this guy but he’s an incredible talent. Perfect build for a DE, great get off, HARD hitter, twitchy.
Williams Nwaneri | MO
This guy is all of 6-5. He could grow into a DT, but I think he’s got the frame to stay at end. Super explosive, sure tackler, long. Gets upfield FAST. Love this dude.
Dominic Nichols | MD
Ideal size for an end in our defense. Long arms, quick get off, not small that he gets blown off in the run game but not too large that he can’t rush the passer. Really solid prospect and he just looks like a Clemson defensive end.
Jeremiah Beaman | AL
Long, his length is the best part of his game. I don’t see that 5-star explosiveness but he’s plenty quick and plenty athletic. Definitely a want and would be a great addition to the room as he’s a legitimate 6-5
Elias Rudolph | OH
Speed rush specialist. He’s not got the biggest frame but he’s very twitchy. Love his speed of course and he uses all of what he’s got to bring people down.
Mylachi Williams | PA
Long kid. Uses that length to close in a hurry. Competition level isn’t great. He’s very raw technically, and basically uses the fact that he’s a good 4 inches taller than anyone blocking him. But I think the height is legit P5 level and he’s good clay. Not an elite guy to push for but one to keep an eye on and certainly set the table for a later push should he continue his growth trajectory.
Edward Smith | TX
Big kid. Maybe the biggest on this list in terms of overall mass to height ratio. A little stiff at times, but he seems to set the edge well enough and with his size is just hard to move. A benefit to his size may be that he could fit well in our odd fronts which we seem to be employing more of late.
Cheta Ofili | TX
Potential late bloomer. One id keep an eye on into his senior season because he’s got speed and height, but needs to put on weight. Could be a guy who’s raw but ends up a stud. A fall back at this point but one to keep an eye on.
Obinna Onwuka | MD
Another potential late bloomer. Raw, but shows some suddenness and I’d keep him on the radar if we need a take in the fall.
Solomon Williams | FL
A little “sawed off” as Paul would say, but he’s pretty good at the point of attack and not a bad fall back option. Also a violent hitter which I love.
Darien Mayo | MD
Obviously he’s immensely tall. He’s raw. I don’t see an explosiveness that intrigues me but his sheer size is a big plus, and if you can squeeze out that athleticism maybe there is something there. Not a major want for me personally, but I’m partial to quick twitch guys. He moves well enough for his size but I don’t love his work at the point of attack. A fall back for me. Staff appears to disagree haha.
