Looking at the current iteration, I would strongly argue being slotted #5 in the bracket for the final rankings is the best spot to be.

1st game is a home game against either the #12 team, or the 5th best conference champion. In this weeks case, it is #16 ASU.

Then you move on to face the worst conference champion of the Top 4 on a neutral field, in this case #11 Boise State.

Ohio State would have a cakewalk to the Semifinals here.
