We're at the football offices chatting with players and coaches today. A couple of notables from Tony Elliott:
-- Said Kelly Bryant made the case to play this season with not just his athletic ability, but his development as a passer and his improvement in the technical aspects of this offense.
-- C.J. Davidson remains your second-team running back, behind Wayne Gallman and ahead of C.J. Fuller.
-- Jay Guillermo is the second-team center behind Ryan Norton.
-- Joe Gore is capable of moving to left tackle if something happened to Mitch Hyatt. They love what they've seen of Taylor Hearn at tackle. Also, Maverick Morris is an option at tackle.
-- Elliott called Shaq Lawson "the best defensive end in the country."
-- Said Adam Choice is physically recovered from ACL surgery, but mentally he still struggles to give it everything on pass protection and trust the knee.
-- Asked if the staff will coach Deshaun Watson differently in hopes of guarding against injury, Elliott said no way. "What makes Deshaun special is he plays on the edge. I don't want to take away what makes him special."
