Here are the ACC teams with the most 4/5 star talent accumulation through recruiting since 2011. This pretty much should sum up how talented teams are, but not necessarily how good they are. This also doesn't factor in 3 star talent which in many cases ends up being better than a lot of the 4 star talent. Either way, just something else to take a peek at during the off season. We could make assumptions on the coaches based off of their recruiting

2011-2015 (Doesn't include this year)

1. FSU - 70 4/5 star players - Talent and Coaching are both good
2. Clemson - 49 4/5 star players - Talent and Coaching are both good
3. Miami - 37 4/5 star players - Talent is good, but coaching stinks
4. VT - 30 4/5 star players - Talent is good, but coaching has been subpar
5. UNC - 25 4/5 star players - Talent is ok, but coaching stinks. They should be an annual bowl team with this talent.
6. UVA - 15 4/5 star players - Talent is ok, but coaching has been horrific. They should be a bowl team with this talent.
7. Pitt - 14 4/5 star players - Seem to be in line winning with talent. Just got new coach. To win more, they will need to get more talent.
8. Louisiville - 12 4/5 star players - Coaching has been good, but talent needs to get better. It talent comes, then Louisville could be a big player in the league.
9. BC - 9 4/5 star players - Seem to be on track doing better in recruiting and winning more with Addazio
10. NC ST - 8 4/5 star players - Seem to be finally moving in right direction with Doeren. Need to recruit better still or they will be an average team.
11. GT - 4 players - Coaching is superb, but recruiting is awful. If they could string a few good years like last year an up the recruiting, these guys could be major trouble.
12. Duke - 2 players - Coaching is superb, but recruiting was terrible. Cuttcliffe has started to improve that, so watch out for these guys.
13/14. Cuse/WF - Terrible recruiting, terrible results. Cuse has had more results lately than WF. Wake has a new coach who had a terrible first year. Shafer had an ok first year, but a terrible 2nd year. Not sure he will stick very long.

The fact is that only 5 teams are recruiting well enough to be potential national threats. Out of those 5, only two Clemson and FSU are national threats. VT, UNC, and Miami have done nothing but be average the last several years. GT runs just crazy enough of an offense that they can be a big spoiler type of threat every once in a while when they get a decent QB like they have now. A good QB that can throw and pass is the key to GT's offense.
