My 83 year-old Mom passed away this week. So, she and my Dad will be cheering the Tigers in heaven. First game day in my life I can't talk to her on the phone or in person when the Tigers play. She and my Dad had season tickets to football and basketball games for about 20 years in the 80s and 90s and they never missed a game. After Dad passed and Mom had health problems, she couldn't come to the games, but she watched them all on TV--and said HDTV gave her a better view anyway! She loved her Tigers football--but actually liked basketball better because the games were quicker, shorter, faster. However, anytime the Tigers won she was happy. Neither she nor my Dad had a chance to go to college back in the early 50's, but thanks to them I graduated from Clemson years ago. Sharing this story to say what all of you on this board know...Clemson sports and the University make an impact on many people everyday that they cherish all their lives. As Mom would already have told me today, "Go Tigers"!
