Finally got around to watching Jacksonville State-Auburn.
The Gamecocks' QB, Eli Jenkins, is the real deal. Strong and accurate arm, very mobile.
There is no doubt in my mind he is better than 9 or 10 of the starting QBs in the SEC.
I'm trying to imagine him at Auburn instead of Jeremy Johnson, who is not a zone-read QB. It would be kinda scary.
Heck, he'd be a dramatic upgrade over the QBs we've seen thus far in Columbia.
How is it that someone like that slips through the cracks? How is it that the SEC has so many questions at QB?
Thank you for taking my call. I'll hang up and listen.
