I imagine that many of the new applicant lists for white supremacist groups have dramatically increased. I remember when I was in the army in Germany another soldier in my platoon from Alabama one night showed me his KKK card. Even though I was from South Carolina I had never seen anything like that. I cut ties with him immediately, as I was taught that this was not people that you wanted to have as your friends, that they were evil people. I loathed those people! Now they are among a few groups that are standing up for the principles that I believe in, that being my southern heritage, and for the love of this democracy and the for the founding of this country. So, I guess, if I am forced to take sides and choose between BLM and Antifa, well...
What the.......
Duuuuuuuuuuuuddddddddddddddeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee........................................
If you think you have to pick between the KKK/Bangkock Boys/Whatever and Antifa/WTFOT Far Left, then you are missing the YUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE gap between the two. Where us normal people live.
Come hang out in the gap. We have cookies.
Your view is like picking between USuCk and 1980. There's other options, man. Don't buy into the either/or, you're on this side or that one, BS. You can love the country, realize it has a lot of great qualities, and still support the idea that black lives are important and do matter. And that we aren't perfect. And also support the 2nd Ammendment while thinking that going to a protest armed to the teeth is a bad idea, as is hassling people just trying to attend church (different group).
You aren't wrong... Dumbasses from around the country can connect. Then their dumbassery knows no bounds.
Rogan had a guest talk about this. Actually several mentioned it. We've removed nuance from the conversations and everything is now a soundbite or a 280 character tweet. We don't know how to discuss things. We know how to insult the other side and act like a spoiled baby who didn't get their way.
Think about it - presidential candidates are asked to share their position on incredibly complex issues - health care, criminal justice reform, social issues, the economy - in 30 second sound bytes. These are people who are vying for leader of the free world, and we're basically judging them on who can scream the loudest and have the most clever soundbite. Content doesn't matter. WTAF?
There you go man. These folks have always been around, but at least they were too ashamed to say anything out loud. Having Donald Trump as President has really bround a LOT of cockroaches out into the light. Racist and Proud of of it!!!
Maybe a few - but what I see is that anyone who dares to veer from a particular narrative is branded some sort of racist or 'phobe. Don't think men should compete in women's sports? You're a transphobe. That kind of crap. Think fat people aren't healthy? You're a fatophobe. Think Trump was a little bit better than Hillary? You're a racist or sexist. Automatically. No chance to explain why you choose who you do. Even if you voted for a woman for governor of your home state. Doesn't matter.
If you're black and support Trump over Biden? We won't even go into what they call those guys (I'm not black BTW). Words I can't type here and don't want to use. Ask Colion Noir about that.
It's what happens when complex issues are debated by simple people.
