Terry Robberts, the attorney for the family of Ashli Babbit, joined Newsmax TV on Monday morning to discuss the family’s ongoing attempts to seek justice in the shooting death of their daughter Ashli.
Roberts said he is handling the civil action that will be filed, adding, “The family and I were disappointed in the Department of Justice decision on this but my role really is to bring civil action and in that way vindicate her rights.”
In regards to the DOJ decision to protect the identity of the reckless killer, Roberts said, “We strongly disagree with the Justice Department’s decision on this. We think the evidence is ample and would support criminal charges against the officer.”
This is one wrongful death by police that the liberal media has completely ignored. After all, she was only a Trump supporter.

No, after all, she was only in the act of breaking and entering an occupied building. A serious side bet is available to anyone who thinks Ashli Babbitt's family will win. Any takers?

Not sad at all. She was a domestic terrorist and enemy of the state. If she and others had broken through that last barrier there's no telling what kind of historic tragedy may have occurred. It's a very good thing in this instance that she was justifiably killed.

I'll grant you it is sad in the sense that this woman was radicalized and brainwashed into becoming a terrorist.

I guess I am a sucker for lost causes then. I just think we need an equal standard of justice to include investigation and that standard was not applied here. The family will take this case the civil route and we will see what happens.

What’s left to investigate? The entire thing is on video. Roll the tape, interview the officer, interview the members of Congress that he protected. Investigation over. You are just getting caught up in the partisan nonsense.

You smash windows into the Very inner part of the House and attempt to jump through that window as part of a domestic terror attack?? You defending this, really?

If the officer had just started firing indiscriminately into the crowd--sure, have an investigation (PS. cops never get convicted for doing the same...and conservatives defend it to the very end...), this is clearly justified use of force. The insurrectionist traitors who entered the Capitol are lucky authorities didn't come in and forcefully arrest them all. Still boggles my mind that aid didn't come and police got beaten for as long as they did. But you don't care about that bc...Trump. Sad.

Well thats what the investigation closure stated to agree with your assessment. The family doesnt agree and they are suing the govt. I just posted this link. I am not locked into any viewpoint here, but I think its a different standard being applied and a different level of public disclosure being used also. I will say that based on the video I think its very suspect to say he had a proper reason to shoot the unarmed woman in the neck.

based on some comments in here, maybe the Portland, and MN police should put away the rubber bullets and just start shooting to kill for those insurrections.

Hmmm. An officer shooting an unarmed person in the neck and killing them? And OP thinks this is wrong? That sounds like some BLM shit right there. Funny that OP has never stood up for the people who've been killed by the police before... Can anyone tell me what the difference is here in this specific case? Asking for a friend.

Personally, I never saw any guns in the hands of the Trumpians attacking the capitol. So this definitely needs to be looked at IMHO. The police don't get to kill unarmed people, period. It's just laughable how different things are when the person killed is a person of color verses a white person.

I would say George Floyd Can be the answer to the question. I totally agree this one I cannot get behind but I also thought George Floyd case... dude was so f’ing high his heart stopped. Officers were both wrong using excessive force, one was black the other white. GF guarantee he didn’t give 2 shits about politics, Babbit was a white Trump supporter. Criminal was killed, parades in the streets... Trump supporter shot entering capital like a dumbass... no parades, felony and no rights cause it’s a sacred place.

If the roles were reversed and and Trump had won the 2020 election and a pro Biden mob marched on Washington and did the same thing to the capitol that happened Jan. 6 and during that one of the said mob smashed the last barrier in the capitol separating the mob from numerous elected government officials and a couple of cops that were protecting them and that person then tried to crawl through the ooening and a cop shot and killed them you'd still be posting these constant articles about how that person was shot unjustly and that the investigation wasn't carried out properly??

You'd be doing the exact opposite and defending that cop till the end and calling the person who was shot and killed an idiot for doing something so freaking stupid. Here’s the issue. She was stupid, that’s not the point.

There was a clear “false flag” event that was blamed on conservatives when there was FBI and ANTIFA prognosticators involved with the planning and entire events of that day.

In conjunction with social media this was a clear orchestrated assault on our capital to blame Trump and his supporters. The lady who paid the ultimate price is at fault and so are the other Trump supporters who were unlawfully in the Capitol (not included are the people let in by the police to tour the building).

There was a nefarious plan here and likely came from Pelosi and Schumer, but what do I know I’m only a conspiracy theorist.

There always are in events like this. the Lion's share of the crowd there that day however were Trump supporters and that's undeniable as witness to the fact of the hundreds that have been arrested and identified including all the identified proud boys at the very front of the mob at the beginning of the assault on the capitol as they were breaking in.
Saying Pellsi and Schumer orchestrated thisis laughable.
