It was really a good watch. Can’t post it on here, but he just said Wake was much better all weekend. Pitching, hitting, coaching, etc. You could hear his frustration.
He said, we’re not adding any new players. At the same time he said we like our guys. Also, “it's time for us to go on a run and we needed this weekend to happen.” “It’s time to reset and refocus and get back to playing championship level baseball.”
He knows there’s some holes in the roster and he’s going to fix them this offseason. There was a ton of deadwood leftover from Monte Lee. A lot of those guys run out of eligibility, after this season. Starting next year, I’m sure we’ll start to see how Erik Bakich wants his teams to look.
Lastly, EB seemed very disappointed with the way some fans were acting and trashing the team on social media. He said they can hop back on the bandwagon later or we’ll just run over their fingers on the way up.
EB is going to bring us championships. It’s already crazy how much he’s improved the program in only 1.5 years. Enjoy the ride, there won’t be many weekends like this one.
