What was the racist part? About the projects? Isn't that the same narrative the national media used to get players paid? They were all poor kids, etc...
Yes it is bc it seems to be based upon their skin color, has to be. Unless he googled every one of those he’s yelling at and discovered that all of them are in fact “from the projects”.What was the racist part? About the projects? You're not going to give the liberal interpretation? Here is the definition of racism in case you needed a reminder.
“prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.”
They did not make any racial specific comments. Just inferred that they were marginalized because they were poor. Now is there a stereo type that black people live in projects. I would have to travel to NYC and Chicago to test out that theory. Here is the definition of racism in case you needed a reminder.

Its not overtly racist. Definitely insulting.Yes it is bc it seems to be based upon their skin color, has to be. Unless he googled every one of those he’s yelling at and discovered that all of them are in fact “from the projects”.
If they, for example, looked back at him and said “go back to the trailer park” that would also, likely, be a racist comment based upon the observation that his skin is white (which I am kind of assuming…).
Yeah, but if you had to guess, why do you think those Bama fans are choosing that particular insult to hurl at those particular players?Heck, when I was born I lived in the project in Charleston. At age 3 we finally moved to a regular home. It's certainly not racist. It might be more about economics (economical).
Something that’s racist doesn’t cease to be racist based on its intensity…Its not overtly racist. Definitely insulting.
Granted, accusations of racism have become somewhat incessant in recent years. But, let's not be dense. Its not overtly racist. Definitely insulting.
🤣🤣🤣What was the racist part? About the projects? Isn't that the same narrative the national media used to get players paid? They were all poor kids, etc...
Nope, on this board it isn't racism unless it's accompanied by white hoods and hard R's, and even then there's some debate. It's very unfortunate the way some things are tacitly encouraged on this board.Geez. Lol at those thinking this isn’t racism. Think about why they said it.

I was never indoctrinated with woke ideology I guess.Something that’s racist doesn’t cease to be racist based on its intensity…
Just like being sprayed with a water gun will make you wet but a tidal wave much wetter.

How old are we Mike? Hoping 41 is not the year or age. I’m not 9 so I’m optimistic.

Hilarious. I can see your strategy now. I’m about as far from woke as one can be…this is the basic definition of Racism…which is prejudgment.I was never indoctrinated with woke ideology I guess.
Actual they were just trying to be insulting because the Texas players were celebrating. It really isn’t as deep as y’all want it it be.Hilarious. I can see your strategy now. I’m about as far from woke as one can be…this is the basic definition of Racism…which is prejudgment.
That’s not remotely the woke definition of racism but thanks for playin!
Hot take: People need to get some thicker skin. Its a football game and people yell and shout mean things. Homophobic, yes. Racist, no.
We have all heard a lot worse things directed towards people of all races. Stop being offended by everything.
Personally, I don't give a rats behind what some random stranger yells at me. Toughen up people. Dude has 350 pound lineman and super athletic linebackers chasing him trying to take his head off and we are supposed to believe a few words are going to hurt him?
Now his mom is on X saying how "offended" she was and how horrible it was etc. Puhlease, he probably says similar shit with his teammates and friends on a daily basis. Charmin soft
No, I believe the comment was made because black people are in larger category to be in that socio-economical situation. I'm just saying that black people living in the projects are not automatically in that situation, or own that situation. Where I lived in St. Andrews Homes (West Ashley) was originally built as housing for military during WWII. After WWII it still had a lot of military families, but other families as well. But there were other projects in Charleston and North Charleston that were predominately black, such as Ben Tillman Homes in North Charleston, and Robert Mills Manor in Charleston, and one that I cannot remember the name that is/was near upper Meeting Street.Yeah, but if you had to guess, why do you think those Bama fans are choosing that particular insult to hurl at those particular players?
I’m as strong as a Free Speech advocate as you’ll find. I think any ideology or authoritarian mission is a complete stain on this country or society in general.I am 40. Grew up in the 90s when words didn’t hurt everyone’s feelings so bad.
My guess is you've never sat near an opposing bench, sat along third base line or along the outfield fence. Try a hockey game!
Plenty of times. Been courtside a bunch too. No shortage of racist assholes out there. I actually wish more athletes would beat the shit out of fans who say stuff like that.My guess is you've never sat near an opposing bench, sat along third base line or along the outfield fence. Try a hockey game!

Edit: But I do despise me some Bama fans!!
