Anyone have any theories on why the Alabama players seem to mostly underperform - some, drastically - in the NFL? Without following recruiting, I'd take a wild guess and say that Saban has a very specific system that works well at the college level but players trained on that don't translate well to the pro ranks. However, he's basically setting records every year with their recruiting classes so these are blue chip recruits who go to Alabama and do well and then go to the NFL...and don't.
If you're a closet Bama fan, spare me the list of guys out of the last 5 NFL drafts who are doing well. I don't have time to go pull numbers but I'm convinced the hit-to-miss ratio on Bama players is much higher than, say, Clemson players who've been drafted in that same time span, despite the fact that the Bama players were drafted higher, recruited higher, etc.
