It is absolutely wild that Trump and Biden are the front runners for the most important job in the world again. Our political system is broken.
No matter who wins. I feel like we'll be on alert for a death watch for four years. Crazy.
I thought in 2016 that Trump and Hilary were the worst options in my voting life (since 1992 election). 2020 beat that, and 2024 has the chance to go even lower.
I'll add that our political system isn't broken, it's our electorate that is to blame. The politicians have become a reflection of us. We are a loud, in-your-face, look-at-me, soundbite society that struggles with an intelligent debate of ideas and policy. We constantly point fingers at "the other side" for blame because we lack the humility and compassion required to seek common sense solutions to our differences. Everyone is an expert on every issue.

I'm right there. Biden has all the appeal of a day old McDonald's cheeseburger to me. But I'll have to vote for him, before voting Trump.
I've said it before and I'll say it again... Republican would DOMINATE this election if they'd move on from Trump and I'd be right there cheering them on. But they won't. The Republican party doesn't really exist anymore, it's the party of Donald Trump.
I disagree with the 1st paragraph. Hillary Clinton is a worse candidate than Biden... but your point is well taken in that we have some TERRIBLE choices.
Couldn't agree more with the 2nd paragraph. Personally, I'd like to see a moderate version of Mike Pence run... A dude (or woman) that's SO BORING that I want a nap just seeing him/her on stage. A dude that's going to run the country and work his ass off and you rarely even know he's doing anything.

Hogan would do such a great job. He did such a great job here in Maryland and left office with a 76% approval rating ....76% ... a Republican ... in Maryland. I cant even express how amazing that is in this state.
Unfortunately, Hogan wouldnt make it out of the primaries because ... well ... he is too moderate for the Southern states.

Hogan is a breath of fresh air for the Republican party for sure. He gives ZERO shits about the "Big Issues" in the Republican Party today. Weaponization of the Government, Wokeism, Cracking down on Abortion, Trangender issues, and most importantly, he doesn't think the 2020 election was stolen thinks that everyone just needs to shut the hell up about it.
One the other hand, he's about economic/fiscal issues such as the debt. Low, but not stupid taxes on everyone. Strong military, strong overseas presence w/o having troops all over the place constantly fighting the next war. You know... important REPUBLICAN STRENGTHS before they collectively lost their damn minds.
In other words a SOLID moderate that leans a bit conservative on the economy and a bit liberal socially.

I would even consider the right Republican UNLESS it appears Rs would take the House and Senate as well. No way in hell I'd vote to give MTG, Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz and Paul Gosar more power.

The answer for you is obviously Donald Trump. The thing is that Donald Trump is not going to win the white house. He will win the nomination and get about 40% of the National vote. He won't be re-elected, even if Biden is on his death bed. The voters will be motivated to vote against him once again, more than they'll be voting for Biden. You need to get behind a different candidate to have a chance.
