Love this idea though I’m not sure about the manner of execution. Keep our prisons and law enforcement available for those that need them - like violent criminals. There are too many people wasting taxpayer dollars in prison and police officer’s time getting there.

Absolutely. I think the point is that they don't have that felony sitting on their record for the rest of their lives. Let's face it... a conviction of simple possession (even at the federal level) isn't going to get much jail time and I suspect that charge would be added to a more serious charge for the folks that are already in jail.

BUT a ton of folks have pleaded guilty to a possession charge to avoid jail time. That follows you forever.
