Brooklyn hospital video from today...

Interesting. I’m guessing this is an anomaly?

What parts of NY are worst affected?
You're just making yourself look dumber and dumber by trying to justify your claim that this is media exaggeration. Why don't you actually listen to doctors and medical staff that are reporting from inside the hospitals. I guess that wouldn't fit your narrative, right Lovecocks#1?

Why now, is the CDC prioritizing who gets tested? A week ago, it was “test everyone we can”, now, it’s “test the old/underlying illness group.”

Interesting

Because it’s not nearly as deadly as they were afraid of but it’s still so contagious that lots of people are going to get it & need hospitalization & the numbers of health care pros dictate that more resources are dedicated to helping those that need critical care than testing .

Logical answer. Thanks

A line of testing which has been a claim from the MSM.

So I'm going to need you to show me:
A. Where MSM said there were lines of people being tested at this hospital.
B. What the typical waiting area/lines inside the building looked line.
C. What this has to do with anything. By this time tomorrow, New York will have had something along the lines of 1,600 fatalities attributed to this virus within 48 hours. Whatever you may think about the media or national narrative, this is a weird place for you to start conspiratorial banter.

What's crazy to me is how all over the place the case fatality rate estimates are. One day you hear that it's essentially in line with the flu (0.1%), but then the next day you get the data out of South Korea which is much worse. Interesting twitter thread on the topic:

I think it's likely that because this is a novel virus, we're going to have a hard time extrapolating much from country to country, or even community to community.

This says a lot:

“Betz said at this point, everyone in the country needs to assume there is community spread. She adds that coming to a hospital to get tested when they are faring okay at home could cause more harm than good. Limited amounts of personal protective equipment means items like masks are not getting changed as often as they should between patients — so coming to the hospital could get you sick even if you weren't already.”

The MSM hysteria has created a situation causing this. The tests are available.

Let's play who's the dumbass!!! @Cocks are Number 1 is the leader in the clubhouse...

This kind of information really upsets you all. Don’t disturb the flock, I guess...

The death rate is tied to confirmed positives. We just started testing. So as confirmed positives increase, so does the official death count. This is information you won’t hear/see reported in the MSM.

Critical thinking is required here, and so few are capable.

One of the hospitals I cover usually (not flu season which is higher ) averages 250 er visits every given day . Yesterday they had 140 and 91 got covid 19 tests. So for one thing people are scared to go to the Er for stuff they normally would elicit a visit. But the hospitals are freaking dead right now. They are seeing considerably Less than one percent tests comeback positive . They’ve done about 75 tests a day for the past 2 plus weeks but turn around time is super slow 5-7 days . They were getting concerned about face masks and were converting sterile sheets to cover masks they could discard and replace but they got a huge shipment of m-95 masks yesterday .
They’re in low volume mode so PPr nurses and the like are looking for shifts . They are preparing rooms with the proper pressure for covid patients and preparing mask alternatives .

granted this is SC but these are legit numbers that Er admittance administrator shared with me yesterday . This thing is nailing large urban areas completely differently than smaller places .

Here's some critical thinking for you: there have been 123,750 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the US. 118,292 of those cases are active; i.e. they are still fighting the virus. 3231 have recovered. 2227 have died. Does that sound like it's the same as the seasonal flu?

This doesn't seem conspiratorial to me. This afternoon one of the networks apparently showed a "live" feed outside one of the hospitals where a huge line had gathered. 5 minutes later photos began making the rounds from outside the same hospital showing no lines. Perhaps the reporter misspoke; perhaps not.

I'd be interested to see that. Do you have links?

I hope it stays that way. Rural America really, really lacks the resources to battle this if it takes root in some of these one hospital counties.

Be careful... they’ll attack you for not falling into line.

Thanks for posting. This situation seems to be motivated.

What parts of NY are worst affected?
Probably the parts where they brought in trucks to put bodies in as they expect to run out of space in morgues in the coming weeks.

maybe your guy should go film that.

It is astounding, just astounding, that there are so many people still denying the seriousness of this situation.

But it shouldn’t be surprising. Our country embraced a post-truth ideology over the last 20 years and now here we are, in a society where the truth matters less than it ever has but in a circumstance where denying the truth may prove very costly.

No one is saying this isn’t serious, and there is a difference in believe that this is the end of the world and should shut down our economy for and extended period versus considering this a serious problem but realizing that high unemployment also leads to a higher death rate as well. Also, one of the most interesting numbers to me is that in a world of 7.7 Billion people, the number of deaths only recently passed the number of deaths we lose each year to the flu in the US alone, after 5 months as this thing reared it’s head in November.

Yes this is serious, but the death rate is way lower than listed because of how many people have had this and never even knew it. There are already a bunch of articles out there talking about how many people were sick in November and December that tested negative for flu and strep and doctors just sent them home to recover. It’s possible to treat this seriously without being a dooms dater as well, so stop helping the media out with their fear mongering.

I mean, you start out with a falsehood. Lots of people are saying this isn't serious. just weeks ago lots of people were saying that was a liberal plot to delegitimize the president, including many on this board and on TV.

Interesting. I’m guessing this is an anomaly?

What parts of NY are worst affected?

Queens is #1 and Brooklyn is #2. The peak of the virus hasn't occurred in those burrows.

More people are requiring ICU beds each day due to the virus than are discharged from them.

Pandemics are no big deal right up until the point that they are.

Your posts about Covid-19 are potentially destructive and harmful and I hope that no one takes their insinuations seriously.
