Buy American Executive order

I'm a big proponent of buying American goods and services. We have a real issue in America with understanding that buying cheap over seas goods, leads to less money in our own economy, doesn't support American workers,which doesn't pay American workers, which means less jobs and tax revenue.

One company I really like is American Giant. If you haven't ever read about them,I've linked a cool article below. It has some links to the Clemson area with local textile Mills.

Yeah... Best check out Trump and his daughter's clothing lines and where they are made. China granted them patents they'd been trying to get for 10 years when Trump got elected. Trump bought illegal Chinese steel for his company and his only answer when called on it by Hillary in the debates was "Why didn't you stop me?".
THEN he told everyone that he'd required the Keystone pipeline to use American Steel the day after he signed an order exempting them from buying American steel.

We already do this. There are laws that deal with fed government procurement and the last 3 presidents have signed orders effectively saying the same thing. They’re pretty much purely symbolic.

Valid point. I also think the key to helping immigration issues along with significantly helping other areas - foreign policy and trade among others - is development of trade relationships and investment in central and South America. I had hoped that would be more of a focus and see more development under trump. It’s a vastly under explored opportunity that would undermine reliance on China and bolster economies in countries where geography and economics would still keep manufacturing and other logistics relatively inexpensive.

I would never buy his garbage ties or shirts. His personal suiting is made by Brioni and is very well made. Also made in Italy so definitely not American. And for the record, I own an eBay store selling pre-owned menswear.
