Mine is very brief. It was back between the 1996-1998 time frame when CU Football was not that good. I was at a downtown Greenville bar called "Dempsey's" and I saw Jim. I approach him and asked "what do you think of the job Rick Barnes is doing? In classic Jim Phillips style he had a big, fat cigar in his mouth and a strong drink in his hand and only got out these words, "Yes, Yes." Blood shot eyes and was probably buzzing real good. It was only a few short years later that he passed, 2003. Man do i miss Jim's voice, he was a classic.
