The Dabo Swinney Football Camp wrapped up with a final block Sunday morning.

Usually the final day has the most meager field of one-day walk-ups. But today brought the deepest pool of offensive linemen and quarterbacks for the week.

Two 2017 four-star linemen joined the action, as Mebane (N.C.) Eastern Alamance guard Jonah Melton and Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek tackle/guard Eric Douglas both worked out.

Melton (6-4, 290) owns offers from Clemson, South Carolina, North Carolina, N.C. State, Boston College, and Miami.

He attended Clemson’s spring game immediately before offers began trickling in, and we wouldn’t be surprised if the Tigers intensify their pursuit. He is proportioned ideally and with no apparent bad weight, and he bent well in drills performed in front of line coach Robbie Caldwell.

Douglas (6-4, 270) picked up a South Carolina offer – his first -- after camping Friday.

Graduate assistant coach Thomas Austin worked extensively with Douglas during our time at the session, and Douglas drew considerable praise for his hand technique and footwork in bag drills.

There was sentiment entering the day that Douglas may be on the verge of committing to South Carolina early this week..

The biggest visitor of the day was to arrive after camp’s conclusion.

Vienna (Ga.) Dooly County four-star defensive end Antonneous Clayton will be on campus today.

Clayton (6-4, 218), ranked No. 42 nationally by Rivals.com, is considered an Auburn lean with Florida also involved.

But this will be Clayton’s first experience at Clemson, and he considers former defensive end standout Vic Beasley among his favorite players.

The quarterback field was highlighted by Jonesboro (Ga.) four-star commitment Zerrick Cooper.

In throws-on-air to the receivers, Cooper was as accurate as we’ve seen him with the short and mid-range throws as well as to stationary targets. He had a good day.

A pair of 2017s also competed: Opelika (Ala.) four-star Jake Bentley and Tampa (Fla.) Jefferson’s Cade Weldon.

Bentley always throws the ball well at camps, and this was no exception. Weldon – who has offers from Kentucky, South Carolina and Wake Forest – is the son of former FSU quarterback Casey Weldon, whom Clemson administrator Brad Scott recruited to the Seminoles.

Shi Smith and former Union standout Roscoe Crosby

Union (S.C.) Union County 2017 three-star receiver Shi Smith worked out after spending Friday at Tennessee and Saturday at N.C. State.

Smith drew considerable attention from co-coordinator Jeff Scott, who playfully challenged him in drills where Scott could whack receivers with a football punching bag.

The other notable visitor was Asheville (N.C.) Christian School defensive end Wale Ogundeyi, the project whose appearance generated buzz last week.

Ogundeyi (6-8, 245) returned to do more drills under the tutelage of ends coach Marion Hobby, who taught him Sunday how to use his hands to fight off linemen trying to engage him.
