Nothing earth shattering but I met Watkins' cousin while out shopping this past weekend. I was wearing an orange hat in the store he works at and he approached me. Said "that orange better be for Clemson!" I told him it definitely is, there is no other orange! He started cracking up and I asked if he was fan. He told me he was and then said he had a cousin on the dl and I might know who he was; proceeded to say it was Los and I laughed and told him of course I knew who that was. Told him we were hearing great things about him and are glad he is back to his old self. I let him know that there were a lot of people just glad he was able to tough it out after all he went through. His cousin says we should see the best Los yet! Said the wreck took more of an emotional toll on him than anything else. They talk daily and he said that for the year+ after, it was taking everything Carlos had just to get out of bed. Said he was ready to give up on it all. Didn't really want to bother with school, practice or even playing. Obviously he stuck it out in all aspects but it was just because. Flash forward to now; he says he hasn't heard the type of excitement/enthusiasm/happiness from him since pre-wreck. I said if that is the case, I know he is set to have a big season. Also told him to let Los now we all have his back and want the best for him in life, not just football. Like I said, nothing earth shattering but interesting to hear it all from his cousin. Sorry for being so long-winded but I thought I'd share with the board.
