Odd.
7 On Your Side has learned that Gene Cathcart is no longer the head football coach at Seneca High School, according to sources.
An Oconee County Schools official said the district would have official comment on that matter later Tuesday afternoon. A search of the Seneca High School directory for Cathcart's name shows "no records found."
Cathcart guided the Bobcats to a 9-3 record in 2014 in his only year on the job. Prior to that, he was head coach at Greenwood High School, leading the Eagles to the 2012 4A Division II state championship.
Efforts to contact Cathcart, Seneca athletic director Duke Lee, and school principal Cliff Roberts were unsuccessful.
