Scenario is as follows:
Clemson 12-0 & GT 10-2 face off against one another in the ACC Championship game. Notre Dame meanwhile, is sitting at home with an 11-1 record.
Clemson has notable victories against: GT, Notre Dame, Louisville, FSU and USC.
GT has notable victories over FSU, Miami, VA Tech & UGA. Their only losses are to Notre Dame and Clemson
Notre Dame has notable victories against: USC, Texas, Stanford, & GT and a loss on the road to Clemson
GT beats Clemson in the ACC Title game.

Notre Dame is 11-1
They believe Notre Dame would get the nod and be selected for the CFB Playoff. Their belief is it wouldn't even be close and ND would be an easy selection. Personally, i don't see how they can think it would be such an easy decision for the committee. I think it depends a lot on how the Clemson/ND game turned out the first time, how well each team played the entire season and how close the ACC Championship game was.
