Any violent protest is wrong but those statements are sad. History of our country is protest, not just racial, and not all peaceful. Glad no one decided to now them all down. Turns out in some cases they were right, just angry or in pain.
You don't mow rioters down either. That would be against the law not to mention against any common sense. No surprise the mayor of Charlotte, Jennifer Roberts, has been absent from any local presence whatsoever. No leadership. She's been busy trying to score political points on CNN, Fox, and other national outlets while there are photographers attempting to be tossed into trash cans protesters lit on fire. Speaks volumes. Same poor leadership that led her to push the forced discriminatory bathroom ordinance. Expecting her to explain how busy she's been any minute now.
The general message from the banks was to clear everyone out by 4pm today, lots of folks on work at home duty for tomorrow. I put my people on a delay for 10 am, there shouldn't be any issues during the day. I would imagine that the Panthers game will be fine but I would steer clear of uptown at night for a few days.

Nothing about the situation will be fully resolved anytime soon. The riot activities might settle down but you are correct on the police chief and average officer being pretty good. There are some that have no business being in uniform but that is true everywhere and in more than this vocation. Sad/deplorable situation all the way around.
I am not a tinfoil hat conspirator guy. But i do believe many initiate things to meet their agendas.
Is is farfetched to believe some of this is to impact the presidential election? Timing seems too bad to be true. We can all guess at Trumps answers to solve this. And Hillary will use it to gain black votes. Just seems like an i teresting thought.
