Haven't seen any pre-season polls out yet but I think the Tigers will likely be thought of as championship contenders once again.
Major losses were Hamady Diop, the #1 overall pick in the MLS Draft, and Joey Skinner, both from the defensive side. Alvaro Gomez, Derek Waleffe and Isaiah Reid were all also solid for us and have moved on.
The good news is that we return seven starters: Enrique Montana, Mohamed Seye, Brandon Parrish, Ousmane Sylla, Elton Chifamba, Adam Lundegard and Joseph Andema (GK).
There are several talented second year players who didn't play a lot last year that could factor as well as some nice freshmen/newcomers.
We also scored two significant transfers (both seniors) in forward Alex Meinhard (Estonia) from Tulsa and defender Gael Gibert (France) from Oregon State. Both these guys are accomplished college players coming from top level programs.
