Prefacing this by saying I keep up with things somewhat close. Less now that I have 3 kids but have always enjoyed the website and following the recruiting as I think we are lucky to have Paul, Chris, and Larry and the info they provide
Can someone break it down as simple as possible on why we are struggling to retain commits and our NIL to this point is what I consider not good. I understand what is going on with us not wanting to do a bidding war but to keep seeing that we don’t have the money or won’t pay enough and I don’t understand that. I may be out of touch with the fan base but I consider Clemson to have a strong following and would be a university that would have the money cache for NIL that would be a top 20 to top 25 spot. While we are not the Ohio states, oregon, Texas, Tenn, etc of the landscape, i am not understanding why we are struggling with NIL so much.
Current policy and way we are using it? Truly not the money cache to keep up? All kids in it for the money and just don’t want to be in a bidding war ?
