Ok I read a little bit about it just to understand and I guess I just don't get it. They sent her a commemorative can, she did a video with the can to sponsor a contest. If she's got 10,000,000 followers that sounds like smart targeting to me.
But I also see they work with hundreds of influencers across the spectrum, including World Cup athletes, rappers, restaurants and even dogs, so it's not like they're only trying to appeal to one community.
I personally despise Jason Aldean's political rhetoric but if I saw him sponsoring Jack Daniels, I might remember it for five minutes, but it wouldn't keep me from ordering a Jack and coke if I wanted one. I'd also probably not be targeted for his ads since I'm a liberal and not a big country music fan, so I'd likely not even know about them unless someone brought them to my attention, which is what I imagine happened with your side. The ads weren't targeted to you and you wouldn't even know about them without this uproar.
Not sure why you would make her responsible for what a sports governing board does or anything else another trans person does. I guess that's the difference between me and you - I don't understand why I'm supposed to hate a trans adult who hasn't done a thing to me. It makes life a hell of a lot easier if I don't honestly.
Thanks for the reply
