⚖️ MURDAUGH MURDERS & TRIAL THREAD ⚖️

Page 1 of TI has 16 threads (40%) that have absolutely nothing to do with Clemson or sports. If I were to include threads that weren't really Clemson-related, or barely sports-related, that number balloons much higher.

The reaction to this post has been unbelievable. A bunch of Will Smiths trying to walk up on stage all of a sudden...
  1. OT: New Orleans Food
  2. OT: GITT and tell your best April Fools Day prank(s)
  3. OT: What is the worst restaurant you have been to?
  4. Zach Bryan album - May 20th
  5. ** Chris Rock vs. Will Smith
  6. OT: Weekend Outdoor Cooking Thread, for those serious about grilling....
  7. Guilty Pleasures- Movies that will be on TV that you will watch no matter how many 1,000s of times you have already seen them.
  8. OT Medical question Have friend whose blood pressure drops and they faint or have seizure
  9. OT: Custom Stick Built Gazebo in Upstate??
  10. Comic Nerds GITT: Moon Knight
  11. OT: Job search in Upstate SC
  12. Grass experts of the front yard kind - zoysia help
  13. Walked 9 with Judge Bobby Conrad
  14. Travel Ball Drama…for your entertainment
  15. OT: African Safari
  16. Could use some prayers guys and gals…
How many of those are push pinned? Exactly zero.

This is the quintessential type of thread that the House of Pain was created for. Why even have the House of Pain then? Must be an April Fool’s joke gone bad.
there are dozens of other threads that do not involve football. This place would be dead without them. There is no politics (at least not much) and no fighting and arguing so we convinced Chris to move it back.
It’s the worst thread in the history of TI push pinned at the top of the main board of TI. A local murder case that lots of people don’t want to constantly be reminded of. Take this to the House of Pain!
evidently only you and a few others think its the worst. I see posts about soccer, the NFL, restaurants, hiking, and all kinds of things that I don't care about, but I don't complain.

That if this is going to be on TWZ, the last thing it should be is push pinned. I’ll go all day baby.
Your entitlement surely will go all day, no doubt about that.

Edit to say that I'm not going to be the reason this thread goes to the House of Pain, haha. No more from me. You are entitled to your opinion.

I can’t believe there’s a crowd of people that complained when the Murdagh thread got moved exactly where it should be, the House of Pain. It’s such a buzzkill even looking at the title of this thread, and it’s pushpinned to the top of the premier Clemson Football message board? Is this some kind of sick April Fool’s joke!
Funny you mention buzzkill….

Ard stated he was told to watch this closely so it doesn’t get him into legal hassle based on content but he’s a good enough businessman to realize what his subscribers are clearly interested in. Let it go big guy
right. And from the perspective of getting advertising dollars, the number of eyeballs on the site goes up when this thread is active.

I read threads of interest and skip the rest. Frequently, I personally find distasteful posts within threads of intersection, but understand others may enjoy that perspective. I tolerate because I can control what I read.
I do the same. I don’t necessarily mind this being pushpinned, I just don’t think it should be displayed above the actual recruiting and football articles that are pinned. That was the point I was trying to make

Your point? There are 3 push-pinned marketing posts that I would rather not see every time I come on here. I pay $99/yr and would rather not be marketed to. Not my choice.
The only way the price is $99.95/year is that the business model is supplemented by ads and to some extent clicks.

Curious, do you open those pushpinned threads or glide past them? Seems that I may be exercising too much freewill on this board. 🤔

I was merely making a point. They don't bother me one bit. That's mutually exclusive from my desire to be marketed to.

Enough of the pissing match about thread location.

There’s been some earlier discussion and general support of Keel. Seemingly no nonsense, no favorites, no favors guy.

New Matney episode certainly calls into question his handling of the Duffie Stone aspect of this investigation. What say you?
People I know who know Duffie think he did nothing wrong, but nothing would surprise me at this point.

what the obsessed fans of this pitiful, sad, real life drama could not find it on the other board?

this piece has no place on a Clemson Football site

any other answer is simply wrong @Cris_Ard
there is obviosly plenty of interest in this subject.

i hate soccer. do i whine every time there is premier league thread? it has nothing to do with clemson..... i just don't read soccer threads and it has never impacted me because other people want to read it.

Soccer IS a sport. Not one I care about, but it is a very popular sport.

This is a sad grigging soap opera.

NO PLACE on a College Football Board. @Cris_Ard

There is also a music thread pinned today. Do you hate that as well?
Didn't use the word 'hate', you did.

Place and time is a very effective way of identifying things.
Home building, grass care, dogs, recipes, bbq..... there is certainly a place for ALL of that................here and there.

This is a silly but sad Soap Opera.

If people like it, there's no foul there.
But it SHOULD be on another board...... Folks can get to it there just as easy as here.

Arguments against such a running thread about scandals and killings and stealing have no place on a Football Board.

If you ask me.
You didn't, but sorta did. ; )

Why this hill?

Why this hill?
It's mole hill.
Don't really GAS.

Just seems awkwardly out of place.
It's not an evil thing. Just out of place.

Seems the wiser mind prevailed for a while. I smiled.
Then, cowered to the 'masses'.
It's a business, I understand.

As you enter your most mature years, you realize that all those things "I will never survive this".... yet, you do. It's a lie you are told on your 'left shoulder' in a whisper.
"This is the most critical decision of our lives." It's not.
(Unless it involves salvation)

Do right because it is right. No other reason. Doesn't need to be popular.
Just something I've tried to live by.

There's a time and place for most things. I thought it right to move the thread.

Thanks for asking.
God Bless

I'm pretty old and grew up when there was no such thing as MyTruth (where A person appoints himself the purveyor of truth based upon his own proclivities of truth. If HisTruth is offended, the MyTruther takes away from all others.) What about these non-football topics:

Prayer Threads - Atheists offended?
Penny Stock Thread - Communists, Socialists offended?
Hard Rock Music or R Rated Movie Threads - Fundamental Christians offended?
In Thread Locker Room References (pictorial references that sexualize women or parts of the male anatomy when excited) - Women offended

Those folks likely have an equal if not greater reason to whine about the non-football content on this board. Rather than whine incessantly about a topic, in content postings, or a topic, most seem to exercise their freewill and read only topics of interest, perhaps read posts and shake their heads in disbelief, or ignore posters. There are other ways to handle things that personally make one uncomfortable than taking away things others enjoy.

This thread has been widely viewed. At the Spring Game yesterday, I chuckled at the crowd in front of me who were deep into a discussion of the Murdaugh stories. Seems that one of the women had been close friends with Maggie; one family's kids were frequent guests; and another got sued when one of AM's clients fell into an armadillo hole. I thought about leaning in and reminding them this was a Spring Football game, not a beauty salon, and then I thought better. Their conversation had nothing to do with why I was there yesterday, but I couldn't help but eavesdrop because the wind blew their conversations backwards.

You make good points.
Agree with you and have no issues there.

I would add, however, that the topics you mentioned (for the most part) come and go frquently on the board and actually add a little interest. At least for me.

Kinnils thread has become a permanent place and a running soap opera.
Unnecessary soap opera. < Again, in my humble opinion.
It's a fixture. Shouldn't be.
People can find it on whatever board it might be moved to.

I don't really care what Chris's deciscion is about it.
It's his board and I'll never stop subscribing.

This is my last comment, ever, on the subject.
It's a can of worms opened for no reason from where I sit.

Happy Palm Sunday to all!

One of my favorites!
Easter is joy unfettered, but with a sad memory fringe of the Darkest Day.
JOY! He is Risen.

Yet, I always think: What did His disciples (without the Spirit's reminding yet) feel?
"All is lost"
"The Pharisees will surely track us down and kill us"
"Oh the hope we had..... How empty we are..!!"

Then...............
BOOM

Happy Early Easter to everyone!

Looks like the naysayers won.

FITS reporting that they are getting close on the Stephen Smith case. Hopefully justice will be served.
no idea where others stand, but I'm really excited about this week's podcast ep being devoted to the Turner boy in Orangeburg. It's totally unrelated to the Murdaughs, but still, should be interesting.
