I can't imagine that our AD and administration essentially wasn't forced to keep this game at 8. The logistics at Clemson at night during a perfect weather scenario are trying and this is turning out worse with each passing hour. There's no way our administration believed it was preferred to keep this at night.
ABC/ESPN has a prime time slot to defend, which includes the golden ticket of Notre Dame, which they only get a few times of the year. Throwing away that slot would be a disaster for the network.
I'm still going but the kids will be staying home. Just pulled the plug on them as the reality of this unfolds. Hopefully there is some available insight on how this went down in these meetings between the university and ABC in an upcoming insider.
