****Dabo just said...

It is going to be an interesting season. 2 games already postponed in Big 12. Testing technology is getting better. Nobody had a crystal ball, but in retrospect it looks like an early November start date would have been best. I think you’d have Big 10 and Pac 12 playing if that was the case.
Yes- after the election would have made it great. smh ....don't sue me

My fear is that if one person in the QB room gets it...does that mean the whole QB room has to be quarantined?

As you know, that's why you have another position player with a package or two to handle if this happend. Will it suck? Of course but those who prepare for those situations will handle it best

I’m sure we’ll see this addressed at some point this year somewhere. They’ll have to be immediate testing available

Imagine this board an hour before gametime when it’s announced Trevor and Etienne are in Covid protocol and will miss the game

Those two need to live in a bubble this season and have no physical contact with the outside world.

LOL. The big 10 and PAC 12 never wanted to play football. They are in shut down mode until after the election.

You schedule bye weeks like we did and play football. Over 110+ players on each roster. A free year of eligibility. The games will be played and life will go on. Waiting until November is kicking the can down the road and does nothing.

So, in your perception of reality... the presidents of every PAC 12 and and B1G school are all democrats and / or members of the deep state cabal. They all voted to delay their seasons - a move that will set their programs back years and do severe economic damage to the college towns they live in - just because they want Trump to lose the election?

you really think we prepare for losing every single QB? No way there is anyone that can walk into a game and be ready to handle a full game at QB that hasn’t been in QB room.

Briles did it against UNC but that was also bowl season and had over a month to get a guy ready

My perception? Buddy, theres a lot of people who think this is political.

Yes I do and we have in the past with renforw. Different circumstances obviously

My hope is that both have already contracted it and are now good to go for the season. I wouldn’t be mad if Dabo had even “accidentally” put them in contact with a player or two that was infected early on this summer.

Is Covid still talked about outside of sports message boards? Haven’t watched the news since March.

I would be absolutely shocked if we have all 3 qbs in the same area at the same time for long enough that tracing protocols would have to apply to all 3. I imagine the qb room is now a zoom meeting.

I mean you have Kendrick but let’s be real I’d that happened week of a big game we’re screwed as is any school

But at least we may see ETN get 30 carries and go for 250 yards

Yes which is why the big 12 put in addition to 53 players you also have to have at least 1 QB and 7 OL. Someone played last week with no TEs.

I think it’ll be fun to see how creative cross training and formations get.

I hope you understand that it is a huge stretch (even for you). I hate Trump. I think he is a fascist con man who is destroying democracy as we know it. But would I rip apart my own business / livelihood just to try and hurt his reelection chances? Hell no. I - like most of the commissioners of those schools - am a white, 1%er. If trump wins, it will have zero negative effect on me, except maybe that he will destroy the pre-existing condition clause and it will be a lot harder for my wife to remain insured. But, we will throw money at that problem and be fine.

Don’t forget they convinced the rest of the world to shut down too.

I’m curious what the left gains by us shutting down?

The economy tanks?... it’s very easily explained if nobody can work or are on quarantine or whatever.

I don’t mean this the wrong way, because you seem like a good guy...

But if I have to explain this to you, or anyone else (for that matter) by this point, I’m not certain it’s worth explaining. In short, the liberal side of politics is all in to do whatever is necessary to defeat Trump in Nov. This is their last hurrah. They know Trump’s economy will easily re-elected him, therefore they’re doing everything possible to harm it, in hopes this creates voter change in Nov. Create chaos, then blame it on Trump.

This is no theory, it’s real. Ironically, they’re now realizing it’s not going to work... but they’re trying.

The decisions of the Big10 and Pac12 were certainly politically motivated. There are plenty of medical advisors who suggest that football can potentially be played "safely". There are limited facts, so it's a judgement call. This decision is not simply based upon player safety.

If the leadership of the Big10 and Pac12 wanted to play football, they could've been in communication with the advisory group of the ACC, SEC, and Big12. But, it's really strange with this virus. If you lean left politically, you're more inclined to trust the "this is a bad idea" guy as opposed to the "proceed with caution" guy.

Ok. Nobody is that stupid to fall for that ploy.

Did the head of the Democrats tell you this or was it Fox News?

Again, by this point, you’re welcome to believe whatever you’d like.

Edit.. I have a hard time believing you’re this oblivious. But to each, their own.
