****Dabo just said...

I hope you understand that it is a huge stretch (even for you). I hate Trump. I think he is a fascist con man who is destroying democracy as we know it. But would I rip apart my own business / livelihood just to try and hurt his reelection chances? Hell no. I - like most of the commissioners of those schools - am a white, 1%er. If trump wins, it will have zero negative effect on me, except maybe that he will destroy the pre-existing condition clause and it will be a lot harder for my wife to remain insured. But, we will throw money at that problem and be fine.
Can you please help me understand why everything wrong in this Country is President Trumps fault...please help me understand.

I don’t mean this the wrong way, because you seem like a good guy...

But if I have to explain this to you, or anyone else (for that matter) by this point, I’m not certain it’s worth explaining. In short, the liberal side of politics is all in to do whatever is necessary to defeat Trump in Nov. This is their last hurrah. They know Trump’s economy will easily re-elected him, therefore they’re doing everything possible to harm it, in hopes this creates voter change in Nov. Create chaos, then blame it on Trump.

This is no theory, it’s real. Ironically, they’re now realizing it’s not going to work... but they’re trying.

This is illogical. Slightly over half of the US population voted in the 2016 election. Of those voted, it was about 50/50 people who voted for Trump vs. Hilary. So with those numbers in mind, you are saying that it is logical that all of the presidents of PAC12 and B1G schools are anti trump and are making decisions that will ultimately hurt them just to try and influence the election?

Do you think the presidents are solely making these decisions? With zero influence?

Why haven’t the SEC presidents followed suit?

Dude stop with the popular vote stuff. If trump wanted to get more votes in california he could have went there. That's like saying we lost the game but we got more first downs. It's a typical loser mentality which is perfect for your party. Being a Democrat is the equivalent of being a gamecock fan. It doesn't end well.

You know what's going to happen Nov. 3. The best is yet to come chief

Just wait until Ivanka steps into the WH in 2024. You better get with it or deal with it.

Some decision makers become somewhat blinded due to their biases (politics). You can find medical advisory groups who say "proceed with caution". Some people don't truly want to hear that so they listen to the advisors who say, "we're not sure so let's just hold off this season."

These presidents are humans with their own biases. These doctors have their own biases. Surely you're smart enough to admit these decisions are politically motivated.

Look up the CDC stats for 15-24 year olds. We are more likely to be hit by an asteroid than a 15-24 year old die of Covid. The facts don't justify some of the drastic actions that are taking place.

the **** are you going on about? I didnt say anything about the dems winning the popular vote. Reading comprehension not your thing? My point was that only about 25% of the population voted democrat in 2016. So how you think they are controlling every decision about this virus - from trump shutting down the economy to university presidents delaying seasons - is beyond me.

Honestly man, I dont have time to teach you to read. I won't be replying to any more of your idiocy.

So, in your perception of reality... the presidents of every PAC 12 and and B1G school are all democrats and / or members of the deep state cabal. They all voted to delay their seasons - a move that will set their programs back years and do severe economic damage to the college towns they live in - just because they want Trump to lose the election?
Oh Hell Yes! B1G has Doctors lying and Have basically admitted its political. Post below expands on that some.

The decisions of the Big10 and Pac12 were certainly politically motivated. There are plenty of medical advisors who suggest that football can potentially be played "safely". There are limited facts, so it's a judgement call. This decision is not simply based upon player safety.

If the leadership of the Big10 and Pac12 wanted to play football, they could've been in communication with the advisory group of the ACC, SEC, and Big12. But, it's really strange with this virus. If you lean left politically, you're more inclined to trust the "this is a bad idea" guy as opposed to the "proceed with caution" guy.
Agree, the Big Pretend and the Pac 12 are led by cowardly fools at best and political operatives at worst. We know for a fact that the Big Pretend Commissioner wanted to change the outcome of the election. Both conferences believed themselves to be leaders in college football - why i do not know - and found themselves soundly outmaneuvered politically while they relied upon and evidently still are relying upon faulty data. This entire thing has been unbelievable but it breaks on party lines about 80/20 both ways. It's been amazing and would be interesting except for those conferences and businesses that have either willfully engaged in self destructive behavior or have been forced by their local governors to do so. Trump in a landslide...

MSM created the narrative, the hysteria, the atmosphere we’ve been, and are living in. Public perception is what they drive, and in doing so... policies, actions, reactions occur, whether they’re justified, appropriate, or not.

We disagree on politics (obviously), but you’re a smart guy, and you know this is true, and has indeed occurred. Funny part is, I know you’re laughing at the fact I’m even explaining any of this. I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know.

No B1G was an 8/6 vote that they said was 10/2.
The 10/2 was probably the PAC12 lol

still haven't seen one good explanation from the right on why the ENTIRE WORLD shut down, not just the liberal states in the US if this is literally only a political ploy by the democrats in one country @Cocks are Number 1
Extended here to make use of a good crisis and the rest of the world is moving on. Did you not see the pool party concert in Wuhan?

other countries actually responded, their citizens wore masks without complaining about their freedoms being infringed upon so they got rid of cases. And you wanna point out one country moving on, one that you don't trust? How about all the others that aren't moving on at all? They're all part of the deep-state conspiracy game, to screw Trump?

Yeah. Based on their theory, you pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Kinda like far left socialist sweeden? Stay sheltered in place pal. Keep voting democrat and keep getting let down. It's your life not mine

Joe biden. Out of all the people in 2020 that's the best your party came up with to try and defeat the orange man. Take a lap

Came into this thread expecting to read what Dabo just said.

Instead just found another thread trashed by a bunch of douchebags arguing politics.

I’ll check back later to see who finally convinced the other they are correct.

I'm going take a quick shot at this. I do think most of it is due to political ideology, but not all directed at Trump. The PAC-12 is just using Covid as an excuse not to deal with player demands, imo. They are trying to figure out a way not to meet the players demands when their universities pretty much espouse and push many of the ideas that led to the demands by the players. How can they now say everyone should pay their fair share but us? This is what happens when dumb ass ideology meets reality. Frankly, I find it fascinating and hilarious. So, though i don't think their decision is directly aimed at hurting Trump, it is politically motivated.
While I would not say every Univ president is a democrat, I imagine the large majority are. Academia as a whole tends to be more left leaning. In addition to that, the geographic locations of those schools would also tend to dictate more left leaning ideology. The combination of those factors would seem to lead to a logical conclusion that most are democrats- which would certainly influence decision making. We all know perception is more important than reality in today's world, and I imagine that was a significant factor in the decisions made.
I'm not going out on the limb as far as some, but to think political motivation/influence had no part in this is not very likely. How can anyone say letting kids live on campus is safe, but playing sports is not? That is completely illogical.

Based on this post you suck as a human being. If I truly believed that about a president, I would do whatever i could to get rid of them, not make choices based on personal greed. Whatever I think about Trump as a person, his ideas and policies are far, far superior to those of HRC or Biden, and that is my primary motivation for who to vote for. Also, one of the primary factors in our democracy is the rule of law. This has been and continues to be shredded by the last president and current democrat state and local governments. The prior administration pretty much colluded with the FBI to try and take down a political opponent. How much more anti democracy does the democrat party have to be for you?
