"I didn't like the way the defense played today. I thought they got pushed around." I agree 100% with that statement. Especially in the 2nd half. Several players that are usually excellent had bad games today, including both linebackers. Yes, they led in tackles, but most of their tackles were downfield. Both of them had terrible times getting off of blocks. Boulware looked like he was on skates a couple of times, just letting his blocker push him around. I didn't think Cordrea or the ends played well either. A lack of focus, lethargic play, lack of energy. That's the worst the defense has played since the 2nd half of the Troy game. They didn't even let Louisville push them around the way they were pushed around today.
I hope they don't revert back to last year's pattern on D, when they were so slack the last few games, cause it was really sickening to see the likes of Syracuse and South Carolina put up points on them the way they did.
