I'm looking to expand my horizons a bit, and looking to either take a course or read a good book on Data Analytics Business Visualizations.

Whats the purpose? Like in the investment world going to need to know calc/the greeks and then most people use tableau. I hate it personally and typically would use sql to grab and model data - much faster. Not sure if that helps, if anything more specific can try to point in right direction.
Would use in the Software world for Product Operations. Looking at metrics from our product management and development team, and getting better around presenting and telling a story from the data.
Just an area I want to focus some professional development around.
Depending on size of data sets and how fancy you want graphs to look id just use excel. Sounds like it would be fine, can visualize data with a variety of graphs charts there. assuming this data isnt stored in a database you need to access and pull from, no need to use a tableau or sql.
