This is currently mandated by Federal Law. Is it not something that most would like to see all year that both political parties might be able to agree on? The premise for the law from the 1920s was to save energy, but has been considered to have the opposite effect based on subsequent studies and data

Most are probably indifferent. It does seem like an antiquated practice.

Should all laws have a built in expiration date of 50 years?
