The word "unanswered" literally means "there was no answer." It is not possible for Kentucky to "score 24 unanswered points" before "South Carolina scored the next 15." The fact that Mouth Carolina scored AFTER those 24 points means that, by definition, those 24 points were NOT unanswered.
