Dear Korie Rogers,
Thank you for choosing Clemson University. As a fan I have enjoyed following your last high school season & red shirt year here at Clemson. I was looking forward to you unleashing the gifts that you have been given upon some opponents throughout this year. I was looking forward to seeing fans swarm you after a big play in a big victory in Death Valley!
I understand your decision to walk away when the heart doesn't seem to match-up with the commitment & expectations. I have honestly been there many times in life...& I regret many of the decisions that I made in those moments now. I learned that my emotions don't reflect my long-term desires but instead my emotions reflect my short-sighted feelings & my inability to grasp long-term effects of my emotions leading me to be less than committed. You won't lose your chance to impact the world or even make a wonderful family if you do walk away. Clemson Football is simply a training ground that you have access to right now.
Mr Rogers, I'm praying for you. Take a couple days away to analyze the unique opportunities that the leaders at Clemson University & Clemson Football are molding you into for greater job opportunities & success for the rest of the 50-60 years of your life. You can't pay for a better job skill builder & leadership development program. It won't pave a path to success but it will hopefully help light your way.
May you & your family be blessed by the final decision that makes you content. You will always be a Clemson Tiger.
Go Korie & Go Tigers,
TigerBo
