Help me understand. The democrats are willing to use reconciliation to pass a $3.5 TRILLION partisan spending package that introduces entirely new categories of entitlements, but they won't use reconciliation to raise the debt ceiling - despite having 3 months notice that was the way to raise it.

Why?

The collaborative pubs are even offering an extension into December to give the dems plenty of time to execute reconciliation.

Why?

Because they can only use reconciliation once and McConnell wants to force them to use it on the debt ceiling so they won't be able to use it for the infrastructure package. Fvckin weasel.

Seems smart. And a good way to rescue America from more sure-to-be permanent entitlements that we can't afford.
