No one with any sense thinks that defunding the police is anything more than a extremely stupid idea. Are police departments perfect? Nope, not even close and there are definitely bad cops out there. But for every bad cop there are 100 out there doing their jobs and providing essential services that we all depend on.
Of course, I'd guess that more than a few of you would be all about this and fully ready to join with "The Squad". After all, didn't your lord and master just suggest defunding the FBI and DoJ? That's only about a month after he suggested setting the constitution aside so that he could be reinstated as President.

I could get behind defunding the ATF considering how much they have managed to embarrass themselves over the years.
Once again, they aren't perfect, but I'd be willing to bet that for every bad thing you hear, there are a 100 things they do right but you never hear about.
Yeah, but in their history the bad things they do tend to be pretty damn bad - as in result in hundreds of guns on the streets of Mexico (Mexico was really happy about that) or quite a few deaths.
I'd roll the firearms and explosives responsibilities into the FBI - which they kinda did I think when the ATF was moved to the Department of Justice. And give the A and T back to Revenue since they are pretty much tax enforcement.
