Corruption at its best. Hopefully this will change by January.

"This is a nakedly partisan effort."

House Democrats on Tuesday voted down a Republican plan to launch an investigation into Hunter Biden.
The House Oversight Committee rejected the plan from their GOP colleagues, who alleged that the Bidens offered "access to the highest levels of government to enrich themselves," according to the Epoch Times.
"It is time for President Biden to answer some questions about his participation in his family's business schemes with some of our most significant adversaries for years, including the Chinese Communist Party," Republican Tennessee Rep. James Comer said of the effort.
"If the Democrats vote against this resolution, then they are continuing in their coordinated effort to shield a potentially compromised President from necessary congressional oversight," he continued.
Republicans have long scrutinized the president's younger son over his alleged illicit activities. Among the most notable of his scandals were revelations from a laptop belonging to Hunter which contained damaging materials on the first family prior to the 2020 presidential election. That story, however, was derided as a disinformation effort and suppressed on social media.
Oversight Committee Chair Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., said Republicans were "obsessed" with Hunter Biden. "This is a nakedly partisan effort," she asserted.

Let's be clear about what this was. The republicans wanted Joe Biden to turn over a bunch of documents about his private business dealings. It was voted down. They want to investigate Hunter, but want Joe to turn over all his personal business documents.

Now keep in mind, trump would not even turn over his tax returns. Can you imagine him ever turning over a ton of private business documents? He won't - nor will anyone in his orbit - honor a subpoena.

Spare me the outrage.

Lol we're so divided, and see each other the exact same way...sad, sucks, true

See my other post here. If you are going to blast dems for not agreeing that Biden should just give up all of his personal business documents to republicans, you should at least acknowledge that trump did the exact. same. thing. Except he wouldn't even give up a tax return.

Remember the term "executive privilege"? He is still using it even though he isn't president anymore.

Well, in my defense...many of my earlier posts in threads clearly state that I'm not a Trumper...Pub/conservative on most views, yes...anti lib? Absolutely. Not a Trumper anymore, as I think he's every bit as bad as the libs...

But the republicans supported and encouraged his behavior, and even went as far as censuring those brave republicans who did not. So if you are going to call dems pieces of shit for this, you must call the republicans the same.

It's not even funny.

Just a reminder that when you were trashing Dems in your drunken relapse, it was all Dems/libs that came to your defense. Something to think about

And I appreciated it then, and do still now...as I've said before, the reasonable folks from both sides are great...the far and extreme from both are pieces of shit...I tend to read/see more of the lib stuff because it seems to be in my face more often, but I'm just as against the far right as well...not into Bible thumping, OR baby killing. I don't like Socialism, nor do I want big business to control everything...lol I want a happy place 😆

That's the thing, the vast majority of Dems are reasonable, decent human beings and nothing like what you see portrayed on FoxNews or the trashy tabloid stories Growls posts here. I know because I am one and almost everyone I know is as well. I can promise you we are far from radical on any subject. Don't be fooled. 😉

I can say the same things about most pubs...most aren't what's portrayed on CNN or msnbc...I also think the issues themselves would face much less opposition (both sides') if they were presented more gradually...much of the argument I think is the speed and volume that each side pushes...like, all the cards are on the table, and a fight will break out

Edit...but I agree with your premise, and don't think that I don't appreciate you...it's more fun to say "fvck libs", as a) I'd definitely line up more with reasonable pubs, and b) honestly it just seems that the far libs are just so much louder about their shit, and it's annoying to me. Nothing against you or your opinions, as you often make reasonable points even if I don't agree with them
