This comes in this evening from TI correspondent Gavin Oliver:

"I've been trying to improve, step up and try to fill Mike Williams' shoes. We've got other receivers who are making plays downfield; Charone Peake and Trevion Thompson. I still think we're deep at receiver. Everybody can make plays. We have a lot of potential on our field.

"I'm just trying to put my name out there, but I couldn't do it without my offensive line and quarterback."

--- On his thoughts on being patient and waiting his turn coming into the season:

"I knew I would have to wait my turn because I knew Mike was in front of me. Really, this year was just me trying to learn more about college football, learn more from Mike and Charone. As time has gone on and my time has improved on the field, I've just tried to make plays."

--- On learning more of the offense in recent weeks:

"It's a blessing. My opportunity is coming. I'm just trying to work hard everyday. I'm getting better. I'm just trying to execute in games. I've tried to get more physical, tried to hold my line on route-running. Other than that, everything else has been natural."

--- On the offense breaking out:

"When we studied them on film, we felt we could open up our passing game. This was a week where we could show everyone that we have top receivers who can make plays. It's not just one or two receivers. We know what we're capable of."

--- On getting some extra playing time this week:

"It feels good. My teammates encouraged me all throughout the week, telling me it was going to be my time. It just came. I just embrace it and we're enjoying this team win."
