Ok guys I have a few questions. I shave my face and head daily and the razors I buy have increased in prices lately. I can get two new razors for around $15 a month which is less than I pay now. Has anyone used the Dollar Shave Club products? Are they worth the money? Any feedback is much appreciated.

I am a member of the Dollar Shave Club. It is totally worth the money. I pay $9.00 per month and they automatically ship me 4 blades each month. i use one per week shaving every other day. They are a little different at first but you get used to it. I love it!! You won't be sorry you used them.

Do the heads on the razors flex? When shaving my head I have to use a blade that moves somewhat to contour to my knotty head lol

I use them. Have tried all their blades and have no complaints. But I wear a beard and just shave my neck twice a week, so I might not be apples to apples for your use.

The humble twin is my go to for my travel bag which is usually for "just in case" shaving. I use the next product up (can't remember the name) for my biweekly shave. I get 4 blades every two months and I have leftovers. They last as well as Gillette.

They are manufactured by Dorco and their is little product differentiation from their other labels. DSC is a marketing master and has a very seamless subscription and buying service set up. That's is what you are paying for.

Oh, and don't scoff at the one wipe Charlie's. Especially the travel edition

I would buy the $9 a month for my head the the $6 a month for my face. The 6 blades on the $9 set seems pretty sweet. I use a Hydr 5 now so the extra blade seems like a good deal. The lasting for a week was my biggest concern. Heck you can cancel at anytime so I am going to use it and see.

what again do you mean here @CSRA.Tiger? I think I mentioned in another thread that I've been using plain old disposable razor blades daily for face&head. Through the work week I can make it on one Gillette Good News. I may shave once over the weekend but if I don't feel like I won't.

I will say this about my hair. Growing up I hated it because it was "fine hair," you know, like hair on a Donkey's Ass? I couldn't part it no matter how hard I freaking tried, the shaved look, much better, less stress and no worries.

Lol i get you man. To shave your whole head and face on the reg, definitely a challenge.

i'm referring to 'nair'....you know...the shit that makes your hair literally fall out. it lasts for 3 + weeks.

not sure how safe it would be on your dome, though, bud!

I go with #2 clipper attachment on the dome and the face. luckily, no bald spots yet - just an equal 'clip' all the way round.

yup, in 2003 I said no more trips to the shop/stylist. I went and bought a hair cutting kit and used the guards for a little while. then I just started cutting it closer and closer until about 2007 when the top of my head was going away, front began to reced, to hell with it, no more guards, used the clipper for a while and 2011 maybe went to the disposable.

I have used DSC for a couple years. Even though my wife worked for P&G for 20 years, it made me NUTS how much razors cost. I find that I can get an every other month shipment and still have extra blades. Also, in order to not mess up perfection, I go with the expensive 6 blade option and like it better than the 4 version.

I suggest trying Harrys and DSC and then picking the one you like best. I did this and preferred Harrys. I think both are legit cheaper options than buying anything in a drug store or at Walmart.
