First border crossing of any type in three decades. Went to the the northern section just on a day trip. I am staying in a place called Ras Al Khaimah and it was about an hour an a half drive to Khasab, Oman. The drive pretty much hugged the coast the whole way. Didn't really do much there, just sight seeing and driving. Pleasant change from the flat desert I am used to. This part of Oman is called the Norway of Arabia because of the mountains and fjords. Cool trip.
