Saw this on social media… is any of this accurate.

Has anyone ever thought about this?
"If all cars were electric...
And if we were stuck in a three hour traffic jam in the cold of a blizzard, the batteries would completely die.
Because electric cars basically don’t have heating.
And being stuck on the street all night, no battery, no heating, no wipers, no radio, no GPS, the battery is long dead.
You can try to call ambulance and protect women and children but they can't come to help because all roads are closed and probably all police cars will be electric.
And when the roads are blocked by thousands of loaded cars, no one will be able to proceed. How to charge batteries on site?
The same problem during the summer vacation is the traffic jams for kilometers.
The possibility of turning on the air conditioning in an electric car would not be available only for a short period of time. Your batteries would die in an instant!

It's on social media.....so no. It's not.

It is probably based in a very small kernel of truth but exaggerated.

"Electric cars don't have heating" - no way in hell an electric car doesn't have some sort of heating system. Batteries and electric motors produce waste heat just like an IC engine. Just channel that into the passenger compartment - or let the battery heat just come up through the floor like radiant heat on a house (many EVs have the battery in the floorboard).

"Three hour traffic jam" - three hours of non movement isn't gonna kill a modern EV battery. Heat is easy. Cooling is harder. But even then, three hours isn't gonna kill an EV battery.

And they make these things called 'generators' that will charge an EV if you need them to.

lol, no. i can use heat or AC at max full blast for 12 hours straight without killing my battery. it's not substantially different than a gas car.

dont forget, battery cars are gonna kill the environment with the batteries being sent to the landfill.

We will never be 100% electric. But that post is just more social media garbage.
