Florida catches flack a lot. I get it. However, we actually have had the best Governor (IMO, of course) since the pandemic. Extremely common sense kind of guy. The Florida economy is booming comparatively speaking.

Common sense....this country has an extreme shortage of CDL drivers to move needed products across America. To the point we're in a pickle.

Common sense.

So what do you do? DeSantis has earmarked $3M+ to start a CDL School at FCCJ in Jacksonville. Not sexy...but very needed.

He's going to make a damned fine President in 2024. JMO, of course.

Him and Haley would be an awesome ticket and win…

That’s great to hear And will be much needed. McMaster in SC has taken $17 million and Invested towards a trade school scholarship program. It’s available at any of the 17 technical colleges in SC and anyone is eligible with certain criteria. I graduated from Clemson, but am considering taking advantage of this to get my HVAC license. It would go hand in hand with my insulation work and is a great, that I may not have considered without this assistance.

Yessir. As long as this Administration continues to fly illegals into the heart of America and give them hundreds of thousands of dollars for the sake of votes, those that voted for Mr. Joe look like fools. Add in inflation(that can be contained via politics to a hearty degree), lies and the flying in of illegals in the middle of the night...you folks that vote that way again could end up with many monikers denoting stupidity. Just saying.
Loving that mellow Bourbon/THC buzz. Plus what acid did for me so many years ago, it makes for a clarity most can't see. 😎

I haven’t heard of this, but have been thinking of going back for a trade. Will look into this for myself as well, thank you.

You mean the guy that wants to pass legislation allowing parents to sue schools that teach “critical race theory?” Lol

This guy is a joke

Big dick Ron will be a great POTUS for 8 years. He’s Trump with a much better personality, self discipline and self awareness. The guy is an ivy leaguer yet has common sense to rival Reagan the Great. Would be our smartest POTUS in 100 years

As a lifelong Republican, I will never vote for Trump again. Anybody But Trump. Glad to hear we have a good alternative.

Trump is not an option for many reasons. Biden/ Libs are a joke with their stupid spending without a plan.

Dr
What mess are you referring to?
I agree. Until his exit. He acted like a petulant little bitch with his tantrum. We don't need that shit. He lost me with his juvenile behavior.

Best weather, hands down. Best theme parks. Best grocery store (Winn Dixie). Not sure about governor, but I love Florida! Lol

How about foreign affairs, covid, crime, inflation, non existent border - take your pick.
We left thousands of citizens stranded in enemy territory while we snuck out unexpectedly. We are projecting unprecedented global weakness leading to emboldened threats from Russia, China, Iran, etc.
FLA has one of the the lowest death rates per capita in the country despite having a larger retirement community, while dem states like Michigan lead the nation in deaths despite the most restrictive covid protocols in the country.
Murders have surged, particularly in blue stated where ridiculous massive police budget cuts were made (shocker, I know).
The continued injection of government stimulus has contributed greatly to the current inflation problem which unquestionably has the biggest negative impact on the poor who spend a large percentage of their income on food/gas/energy/utility costs. Who could have ever foreseen massive increases in the money supply would lead to this?😲🤷‍♂️ Maybe some people who have had basic econ classes. Yet the administration is trying to exacerbate the problem with further reckless spending and adding trillions more to the deficit.
Thousands of people have been murdered, raped, and beaten by criminals in this country who should not even be here. Additionally, illegal drugs are flowing across the border at alarming rates.
To top it all off, while CITIZENS are being required to show proof of vaccination for things as simple as dinning out, while the current administration is flying and busing criminals with covid all over he country and dropping them off in a neighborhood near you in the dead of night.
Lastly, we have a president who is evidently incapable of answering questions from a press core predominately made up of democrat supporters. How low does your mental acuity have to be not to be able to take questions from the press? No matter who the potus is this should be disturbing to everyone. If you can not simply stand up and take questions from the press core, you have zero business being in that position. The president, of all people, should have an obligation to answer to the American people. Never in modern history have we had a potus refuse to answer questions from the press. It's honestly astonishing.

Ok, so what parts of that would be different if Trump was still President? That’s the point I‘m making. I’m not saying everything’s great and there’s no problems, but to pretend that the great bulk of the challenges we’re facing in the country would just be no problem at all had the 2020 election played out differently is flat out intellectually dishonest.

The Afghanistan exit plan was put in place by President Trump.

I’m not sure where your covid stats are coming from, Florida is 10th in death rate Per 100,000 per the CDC - higher than MIchigan. The top 10 are Mississippi, Alabama, New Jersey, Louisiana, Arizona, Oklahoma, New York, Arkansas, Georgia, and Florida. I don’t like getting into the red vs blue thing when it comes to people dying, but clearly the bulk of those states are under Republican control.

Michigan is higher than Florida when looking at stats for the last 7 days, is that what you’re looking at? Again, regardless of the numbers, how would they be different now with a different President? Maybe more of his supporters would be taking the vaccine? I don’t know, even Trump was booed by his own fan base when he recommended getting vaccinated. Its crazy, the vaccine is easily, easily the top accomplishment of the Trump administration and his supporters refuse to take it in droves.

The murder rate across the country is growing, but at a slower pace than it grew in 2019 and 2020. So again, not sure how that would be different under a different administration.

President Trump loudly supported most of the spending around covid that the Biden administration has pushed through, most notably additional stimulus.

The President has zero control over private businesses who choose to enforce vaccine mandates on their customers, nor does the President control state and local ordinances around covid. Do you really think that a President Trump would have been able to stop New York City from requiring vaccinations for in door dining?

Certainly the federal mandate on vaccines would not have been pushed by the Trump administration, that’s a major difference and we’ll see how that plays out.

In terms of answering questions, I don’t know. I’d prefer that to a President that openly spreads false information about election results and undermines our democracy to the point that there’s an attempted coup on the capital building. That’s just me personally.

SC has had CDL training in TEC schools for years. Gov. McMaster is pushing CDLs for 18-20 year olds. Sorta scary to me. I-26 is dangerous as it is with Semis coming up from the port. Of course, I am not really concerned. It will take awhile for them to clear out their systems for drug testing.

Yep. Trump was and is an embarrassment. Biden is too, but for different reasons.

And you’re exactly right. 90% of the stuff the Trumpers are bitching about would be no different if Trump was in the White House. Good chance things would be significantly worse.

The plan that was executed in Afghanistan was not what had been planned. Was there a plan in place before he took office? Yes. Was it the plan he followed? No. The time table was moved up, even after the administration had recently given a timeline that was further out. Even members of teh current admin have stated the plan was terrible and that the potus had been advised by some against the actions taken.

Murder rates increases are predominately in dem states and city that were pushing and implemented plans to cut police budgets- not in the country as a whole.

If Trump were president, the amount of stimulus spending would certainly have been less. I will concede I think we spent too much $$$ even under Trump, but not to the current levels.

Nice dodge on the potus inability/refusal to answer questions from the press. Also, lol at spreading false information. Joe Biden and the democratic party, along with the full support and backing of the media spread the biggest lie told in modern history for four years that Trump was colluding with Russia, when in fact it was Joe and the democrat party using a Russian operative for the express purpose of taking down a political rival.

I agree with much you say but remember the last POTUS refused to have press conferences, much less answer questions. Sorry but I still put a lot of blame on Trump for where we are. If he hadn't acted like a stubborn spoiled child, he would still be President. And then handed the Senate to the Dems by acting like a fool in Georgia. Rant is over - policies may have been great, but a little Presidential demeanor PLEASE.

Are you getting paid by the number of misrepresentations and outright lies you forward or are you just that blind to reality? Good gosh man. You sound like you're reading the scripts sent over from MSNBC. I know you're a smart guy so I would encourage you to think for yourself a little bit more and actually open your eyes to reality rather than closing them and being told what reality is by those who seek to gain power over all of us. It just doesn't take much effort to research the points you made and recognize how false they are.

Trump would take questions from hostile media for 2 hours. Obama and Biden are to scared to take random questions from friendly media. It’s pathetic. They couldn’t handle a media a Republican POTUS gets.

Ahhhh, no. He regularly had press conferences and took question at appearances. I too blame him in part for where we are for the same reason, though. I am not a Trump fan as a person for the reasons you stated. Politically, he was an idiot. If he would have implemented the same exact policies, but just acted presidential and lied in front of the camera and microphones like his predecessor and the current admin, he would still be in office. There were enough people that either voted against him or did not vote at all simply because he was mean - which is just moronic, imo. I did not agree with all of his policies either, but he was definitely the lesser of evils based on policy. I quit watching and /or listening to him bc I wanted to punch him in the face when I did because he sounded like a kindergarten bully on the playground. However, I don't vote based on feelings/emotions. I vote based on what actions I think will be implemented, not for Mr./Mrs. congeniality.

The complexity of our economy is a toughie. That said Florida only succeeds because its surrounded by beaches and thus tourists. Anyone can win in such a climate. Watch out for the gators and the hurricanes my man.

Really? If it’s as simple as beaches and tourism you’d think California would be blowing every other state out of the water yet it’s one of the biggest failures and has a tremendous amount of residents fleeing the state. Good try though!

Can you? I have liberals “acquaintances “ that alway spout one liners such as “you’re wrong”, “not true” , etc but they somehow can never provide proof unless it’s being spouted by some other lib like Whoopie. Lol
