WE BETTER NOT EVER SET UP A PUNT RETURN.
No need. UNC gave them a first down there. Our offense is too potent. We don't need yards on a punt return. We just need the damn ball.
How many times have you seen a shanked punt hit a guy who was blocking and it becomes a fumble. How many times has the punt returner fumbled. How many times have you seen a fake punt pick up a first down and big yards.
10 players play defense and one guy to call the fair catch. It should be done every single time. The majority of punts are fair caught anyways. The ones that are returned gain 5 yards or less the majority of the time.
It is simple risk vs reward. It boggles my mind why coaches who get paid millions can't figure this out. Play defense and get the ball back.
