Pricey, but we enjoyed. Our waiter was very, very good. Laid back guy. Didn't get all F&B Know-It-All and talk to us like we had just stumbled off of some tour bus looking for an Applebee's, but he answered the questions we had. We sat in the "bird room" upstairs, which is an interesting room. The appetizers (oysters Rockefeller) and some salads were awesome. As good as I have had.
The steaks and sides were certainly good, but not on par with Hall's or Grill 225.
For my money, if you want food + atmosphere, I think Hall's is the spot. My foodie friends tell me Grill 225 has the best actual meat. Therefore, I am not sure why anyone would go to Oak over those two, but I am glad we went for the experience.
That only leaves The Wreck as the only regularly mentioned Charleston/Mt. Pleasant restaurant that I have yet to visit.
