First off, since some of you seem to have the reading comprehension skills of a Labrador Retriever, let me just spell out what this post is NOT. This is not one of those "I hope the Gamecocks win them all but the last one so we can beat them at those best" type of posts. People who say stuff like that are idiots.
However, I do believe there may be a sweet spot for just how many games we want the Shamecocks to drop this season.
They are somewhat stuck with Spurrier, as I don't think T-Rec Tanned has the balls to fire him without a mountain of evidence to support the decision. I don't think 5-7 gets him fired. Maybe 4-8 doesn't either.
I think @Paul Strelow and @Cris_Ard will agree: Clemson's current staff would pay good money for USC to keep its current staff in place as long as possible. Many are terrible recruiters and average coaches.
So, while wanting to see the Titanic sink is a natural reaction for us Clemson and people, I think just seeing run aground for another 2 years would be better.
Thoughts?
