The Pharisees' question about Jesus' religious authority is in many ways a natural one. He has had no official training. He comes from Galilee, an area not known for its religious instruction or anything else of stature (Jn 7:52). He has never sat under a rabbi. Where does his authority come from? How can he justify the things he has been doing?

Jesus was the son of God. Perry is a child of God. Jesus was perfect, Perry, like the rest of us, is flawed. Very important differences. I feel bad for him and hope he can be healed, but he and Jesus are not comparable (which is no worse than any human who has ever lived).

In addition to Jesus being the Son of God, He was God in the flesh.

Am I reading this correctly? Are you comparing Perry Noble to Jesus Christ?

That's true, my intention was that many question Perry's credentials to be a pastor. Would Jesus? What about Moses? Was that a cult following? How about Noah? Was his family a cult? Did they worship Moses, Noah, Joshua? Or did they follow a man of God who would all fail at some point?

How about King David, of God's own heart? Did he fail?

You're really taking this hard, OP. Try not to let a fake pastor with a drinking and porn problem get the best of you.

Jesus might question how Perry made embarrassing sums of money by selling books inspired by the word of God. If I recall correctly he wasn't terribly thrilled about those making money for themselves on the steps of the temple. I think he might have questioned Perry about his credentials given this, but that's a hypothesis, as I cannot know.
