I still agree with Dabo that you don't build and maintain a program with relying on the transfer portal. I do think we have to "outbid" for elite players to fill in needed gaps in the portal ... such as DE, LB, etc that we will be missing next year.
Dabo has been very open that he isn't going to pay a high school recruit more than a kid already on the roster. Do you think with the new future revenue sharing that philosophy will change? To stay at the elite status, I think that philosophy is the most important one that he has to be willing to change. We took ourselves out of recruiting with the high 4 and 5 star recruits and we had 5 de-commitments. He can't be stubborn about it. What are your thoughts on how he will change in the coming years?
